since I was a child
living in the wild
coming home late night
dimming down the light
time to take it slow
bask in afterglow
of the daylight show
speak of what I know
since I was a child
wittingly exiled
independant trek
barely within spec
oft times on my own
preferred to be alone
almost broke my neck
in a traffic wreck
since I was a child
spinning, growing wild
fought to forge my way
till that awesome day
I surrendered all
to the highest call
