2008-09-26 - tricks are for fools
As snow in summer as rain in harvest so honor is not fitting for a fool As the bird by wandering as the swallow by flying so the curse without cause shall not rule A whip for the horse a sling for the ass and a rod for the fool's pimpled back Do not answer a fool according to his folly lest you become just as whacked Answer a fool according to his folly lest he be wise in his own conceit He that sends a message by the hand of a fool cuts off his very own feet (you could say he shall live in de-feet) (you could say hell suck sludge from his cleats) The legs of the lame are not the same: so a parable in the mouth of "tools" As he that loads ammo to hunt for dead game is he that gives honor to fools As a thorn goes up into the hand of a drunk so is a parable in the mouths of fools The God and Creator will surely debunk all those who break His basic rules As a dog returns to his vomited meat so a fool returns to his folly Have you seen a man wise in his own conceit? Theres more hope for a fools abused collie The lazy man says There's a lion... Theres a lion out in the streets! As the door swings on its hinges so the lazy man turns on his sheets The lazy man hides his hand on his chest it grieves him to feed his own face The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven presenting their case He who just happens to be passing near and meddles with another mans strife Is like one that takes a dog by the ears he has no regard for his life As a mad man throwing bombs and death, missiles and weapons and traps Is the man that cons his neighbor and says I was only joking perhaps? Where there is no fuel the fire gets extinguished So where theres no gossip contention gets relinquished As coals are to the burning embers and wood is to the fire So a contentious man remembers to kindle hatreds desire The words of a gossip are hurtful cutting deep and causing issues Burning lips and a wicked heart are like silver toilet tissues He that hates destroys with his lips and harbors deceit within him When he speaks words sounding fair hes only trying to spin them In his heart the hater hides seven abominations Though he covers them like an art it's exposed to the congregation He who digs shall fall into the very pit hes digging and he that rolls a stone uphill is crushed by its unrigging A lying tongue hates its victims those afflicted by it And a flattering mouth works ruin (so dont you even try it!) [Proverbs 26 paraphrased]
