a haven of dragons
circle the wagons
we're pilgrims in a land where we once roamed
derivatives of ancestral unknowns
there's nothing new beneath the twilight zones
depth perception shifts
to unidirectional rifts
free radical revolutions
sporadic evolutions
break out to find solutions in the stones
they add to these confusions in our bones
like pseudo friendly clones
ballooning interest loans
and other products unforeseen or risked
like cavities unsearched until they're frisked
or villagers who mob mad scientists
for programs which experiment with mists
aerosol miasma in their midsts
solidification of demise
got a revolution behind their eyes
(they had to get up and organize)
but karma didn't make them wise
some things should be avoided
exploiters get exploited
subverters get tabloided
psychology gets freuded
it all slips into files
disordered pairs and wiles
attacking from the regions
of shadows by the legions
until their tribes subside
into the great divide
what-goes-round-comes-round dance
of planned results and chance
and spirits which remain
to satisfy the brain
and lynch the mobs which came
to do the very same
the new boss is to blame
he's every bit as lame
as those who came before
but urgency's a whore
resorting to what means
will bring the pork and beans
to feed in bits and pieces
perpetuate her species
with natural selection
instinctive self protection
in winds-of-change convection
perspective shift reflection
the weekend has no meaning
if all the fields we're gleaning
are independant strains
so integrate your brains
amalgamate your reins
and ride these unknown plains
ameliorate in lanes
to guide the loss toward gains
establish sanctuaries
promoting estuaries
which stream toward refuge camps
and light the oil lamps
to reconcile the ways
we came to better days
but till those times arrive
the fittest will survive
and nature is beguiled
by that which keeps her wild
in all these modes of change
in lands where beasts are strange
