the annual mean temperature goes up another notch
and polar caps commence to melt as coastal cities watch
the water levels rise beyond the former beach bodies
the bounding seas and boundaries surmount by ten degrees
but first a tease as under knees the swimmers' feet begin to freeze
which doesn't please the ill-at-ease in local dives beneath the seas
as research opens playwrights' minds to awkward happenstance
they ghost write volumes just to find it's termite flatulence
caused by the harvesting of trees and rotting wood behind
a spike in productivities as researchers would find
more information to be published: hardback paper brought up
which caused demand for (yes, you guessed it) more tree pulp type products
and termites feasting on the rubble, sticks and stump debris
increase in reproduction and continue to freely
fart in every which direction (which depletes ozone when done)
or "proliferates a rectal ructus methane cloud " says one,
an ozone-biographer who just finished volume eight
