the world is full of twitching minds who don't believe they're nervous
niche marketing attempts to find the ones who need its service
"knock and it shall be opened, seek and you shall find..."
it's more than an invitation to the unbelieving mind
it presupposes customers who already believe
and then concludes with this request "...ask and you shall receive"
darkness does not ask for light; it's nature is digressive
it's possible to live and die and never get this message
but if as you digest these words you find there is a presence
beyond the things you've seen and heard which shoulder-taps your essence
and draws you to a state of being where you begin to ask
just remember this one thing: your heart is worth the task.
behind the scenes of will-to-do, of want-to-do and drives
there is another principle which governs all our lives
none of us are seeking, we're perched upon our shelves,
we're moving and we're speaking, niche marketing ourselves
unless by some phat bonus check we find in our account
increasingly it dawns on us that darkness has us bound
and what's the predilection of such motive to invite us
to pour out this affection which illuminates despite us?
let's say it's been determined who will send R.S.V.P.
otherwise why waste the postage on the ones who will not see?
I speak of more than motives that reside in you and me
this deals with foreknowledge of eternity's emcee
the master of the plan who knows the timeline A to Z
the host who throws the party of the guests' predestiny
so the guest list is determined by who will and won't reply
the benefits are off the hook even before we die
although there is some sacrifice involved in getting in
I try not to get busted, thrown in jail because of sin
there's a bouncer who'll renounce you if you
crash integrity
because there's really just one way: the laws of love and charity
