Is the merge complete betwixt the Loche and Scotland Yard?
shall we be dishonest when our living gets too hard?
(we were when things were easy)
When life was light and breezy
the lillies of the field
were covering the sleazy
devices we concealed
the downard sloping easement
into polluted seas
where some drown in diseases
or stream northward to freeze
But now we see the image
come sharply into view
the road of our pilgrimmage
dividing into two
one road is wide and rolling
the other narrow be
the crossroads are controlling
the choice of destiny
choose this day what you will serve
your life is not your own
one master brings what you deserve
and sits upon a throne
he promises your freedom
and puts you in a trance
he tells you "you won't be dumb,
I'll teach you how to dance."
he takes you on a cruise
he buys you food and drink
but then collects his dues
when things begin to stink!
he drives you like some goatherder
and makes you eat his junk
he beats you with his stick hurter
and makes you drink his spunk
and in the end, humiliated, we begin to see
that wider road, we chose to go on, was all about the "me"
the narrow road, less travelled, is the one to get you free
from the fallen lords, unravelled, and their demagoguery
the gangsters in the embassy opposing what is true
with terrorist philosophies to goatherd me and you
and keep us in the empire that is destined to go down
into the loveless waters where both king and pauper drown
ascending from the great abyss of Sheol in their game
sport fishermen of souls that do not see beyond the same
to take endangered species
and force feed them their feces
in order to fulfill their evil goals
to take a spoil of bounty through the souls
who yield to them their freedoms and their young
who follow them into the place of dung
and find themselves reflecting on the past
when they chose winding roads that didn't last.
