trapped there in the hall
growling like a dog
there was no time to stall
or find a stick or log
that rat it was humungus
and children played nearby
this evil came among us
no time to wonder why
I ran toward it with vengeance
and kicked it like a ball
I had to be relentless
and kill it with my all
I stomped on it and squashed it
and never more it prowled
the carpet? well, I washed it.
so PETA wouldn't howl.
