some people dance in the dark
they move into regions unknown
scantily clad and they're stark
naked and open and prone
for they trust in the fear and the doubt
and they cannot perceive what they own
for what's given is borrowed without
guarantees, warranties, contract loans
it's an edge that keeps brain stimulation
from festering beneath the surface
like a virus with one medication
which cannot completely erase
mutated spinoffs, cognitive cutoffs,
action with no rationale
gastrical hiccoughs, spastical sluff-offs,
factions outside of morale
but there is a dance in the light
where you know what you do looks alright
and distilling lifts pure from the plight
of the things which go bump in the night
