what is in the words we say
borne of passions in the way
that precludes the brighter day
and is deterrent
what is there in light of this
in the place where we exist
that is able to resist
the recurrent
unrestricted growth of power
in the moment
in this hour
such arraignment of the flower
our assurance
that within the book of life
far removed from fear and strife
there's a family that is rife
with endurance
we will glory in the cross
we will flourish without loss
as fire purges out the dross
with a vengeance
we're engraved upon the hands
that suspended reprimands
recompensed of all wrong stands
broke us free from sinful bands
by His blood He washed our lands
to obey what love demands
pouring faith to keep commands
into hearts He understands
with resplendence.
