have you been around outside this town this comfort we call home here's what I've found is going down where angels fear to roam there's mutiny on the bounty there's tyranny at bay it's just outside your county outside the USA there's fathers who don't watch their sons who rob the poor they go straight for the crotch behind the temple door their sons profane the sabbath while they sit idly by they bow before their cabbage in their own juices fry there's priests who hear the voices of every kind of vice they stab in for the choicest the meat of sacrifice they block the way of seekers they martyr those who care they prey upon the weakness they keep them dumb and scared have you been around the bloody ground the place some call their home will you hear the sound before they drown beneath the waves and foam the shame of every nation's pollution washed ashore comes on this generation and cries reach out restore the paradigms of pilgrims all those who came before are shifted to the children who reach beyond death's door why do we seek for clarity when all has been revealed the law of love and charity the prophets who won't yield "if" and "but" are cloaks worn by the unbelieving the butt of heaven's jokes unthankful unreceiving the path that lies before is written in your heart but never more ignore the player of your part.
