even though it don't make sense
a relationship pretense
can become a parody of what is true
and the show becomes your own
as you get into that zone
that becomes the showcase or the point of view
that character display that takes life from day to day
intermingling with the weavings of the script
currents in the sway pushing doubts out of the way
like Jack Black in the part where his role flipped
could the audience take him serious?
will the critics be delerious?
will the premiere be the swansong of a chance?
the emissions can be spurious
and the critics become furious
if capitulation turns to awkward stance
so it is when friendships think about romance.
what once was an attraction
turns into chain reaction
which baffles winds of fortune and demise
providing a distraction to the eyes
but fire by night and cloud by day
leads the ones who tend to stray
and guides the lost along the way
as the flicker dies away
And the main attraction draws enlightened souls
to the ulitmate expression of their roles.
