I've just got to get away
from all that's in the way
and that is that
legalism
it's a prison
pride stands at the gate
this addiction
crucifixion
runs the show of late
communism
socialism
we're having a sale
here's some wisdom
beat the system
truth will never fail
estimate the odds
have no other gods
take the shortest route into your dream
break on through the mold
train and go for gold
shake your soul and don't just float down stream
but when you get the chance
don't forget to dance
on the outbound train to anywhere
remember to be humble in your prayer
but don't you let them take away your fare
ignore their hateful glares
for there's someone who cares
who knows just what it's like to feel rejected
defy their deadly stares
reply that they're ensnared
and don't partake of drugs they have injected
pride and lust and greed
won't someone interceed
we've got to see some kind of vindication
put down your knives and boards
for vengeance is the Lord's
we're due real soon to have a visitation
but till it's done please take me on vacation
