2004-05-01 - destiny drive!
there's a blurring of distinction when you reach that plateau
where entering at the junction of the things that we know
are the things that can't be sampled by the senses, so
you'll have to take my word as your guide - let's go
otherwise you do not trust me and it's plain to see
you're taking other pathos quite insane to me
I'm not saying that you shouldn't (necessarily)
it wouldn't save you if you stopped - it's your destiny...
what's your destiny...
what's your destiny...
is it shapen by the choices, consequentially?
is it something that is written on the voice of some decree?
is it carved by the wind chaotostically?
is the future set in stone? here's the mystery...
lend your face to my hand as I slap it back and forth
now consider was it destiny to make your face so sore?
did you know "cause and effect" play a major role before
you will overcome the elements and win for what it's worth
now some - they channel spirits
and others sell their soul
and others live in fear, it
seems they've lost all their control
but there's one way to keep yourself in everlasting flows
there's a fountain of eternal health for everyone who knows
there's a maker of that city with foundations that will last
and such mercy, it's a pity you won't follow on this path
maybe just a little way till up around the bend
you'll see up at the overlook a spiritual trend
where joy and peace and real love cascade upon your soul
where you begin to understand the nature of this goal
as radiance shines down on you, bestows upon you wings
and consciousness awakes within you of some other things
that destiny has taken on new meaning and it brings
about the change inside of us that makes us priests and kings
this we do bear witness to: the senses do fall short
when we here who reach out to you with this good news report
attempt to speak in terms which by their sacrificial rite
become the freak at arms, religious forms that are so trite
but this I pray for those of you who've read this word so far
that God would prove this day to you
that Jesus is the star
the promised one, God's only Son, the only way to peace
the one who bore the wounds inflicted for ransom's release
the right to set you free despite the dictates of the court
the power you will see will testify to this report.
