you think that christianity is something relativ'ly new
you've no idea the things to bring it that God Himself had to go through
because he's just he has to bust you for He has a real issue
you see, he can't deny himself this one aspect, now here's a clue:
the next time you're in court just tell the judge he must forgive
say you are free to be yourself and not to tell you how to live
and see how far that gets you toward the exit -- home and free
you think that judge only ignores and then expects for you to see
that he can hold the place he does without accountabilty
to the laws of the land within whatever-ocracy?
well anyway I lost you in this lame analogy
I'm just trying to break it down so you can hear it, yo homey!
the justice of a righteous God requires Him to be
one who sentences the guilty void of partiality
and yet His love for you's so strong that he paid His just demand
in the body of Messiah as the sacrificial lamb
he has to tell you that you smell and that there's no deoderant
that can relieve you of the evil of the stink -- oh no it can't
even satan isn't blatant when he comes before the throne
for he knows that his time's short and he still hopes to hold his own
so if your his by your decision, your admission is derision
but if you're wanting to be free take my advice it's so easy
for the blood of the Messiah cries out justice isn't free!
but the love of God is greater and it moves Him to mercy
so don't put off till later what is unconditionally
granted on your soul's behalf and comes with such a guarantee
there is room to make mistakes within the grace of this new deal
as far as hypocrits and fakes, don't let them keep you, just be real
