2009-07-02 - digress egress
there in contemplation where the gabble rose and fell
in the courtroom station where the ex-guard's life was hell
waiting for the sentence that would seal or set him free
the ex-guard picked the lock of the handcuffs with no key
he slipped on down the hallway as he feigned to mop the floor
and they never saw nor heard from ex-guard locksmith anymore
until he came across the doorway to the meaning of all things
he couldn't find an egress or the code to make it spring
he had to realize that he'd finally met his match
and just right then he fell into a trapdoor secret hatch
