A paranoia comes to claim
and block the exits of your brain
alerts you to instincts within
increasing negatory spin
the advocates of hobbyists
self-preservation lobbyists
and unbelieving fatalists
as though consensus made a list
posted in halls of self government
and pounded from pulpits of "what if" lament
this duress induced discrimmination
of thoughts which lead to liberation
must be safely guarded against
with faith filled thoughts and recompense
and all at once with adherence
to principles which do protect
a deference
to cause and effect
yet raptured by an intellect
which doesn't yield to propaganda
refuses alternate agenda
rises to embrace its summer
doesn't view God as a bummer
learns each moment appeasingly
how we should pray unceasingly
for every second we exist's
a gift -- just ask the scientist.
