2005-10-22 - cyclical refrain
the songbird in her flight continued toward the day the angel of the night has up and flown away and summer - too soon passed - in all her heated glory, has turned to this at last: a chapter in the story that tells of secret treasure of friendships that won't die of love beyond all measure much more than meets the eye like autumn's whispered rumor of nature's sweet affair: the courtship of good humor with something in the air, of leaves that change their color at winter's icy edge and gradually get duller till stripped from branch and hedge they're gone away too soon. their hosts, stripped naked, bare - stark limbs lit by the moon - still reaching, standing there, await with silent trust, the seasons' cyclic wink, the punch line that will bust when winter's on the brink when spring time comes anew and dying sounds are few and warmth comes streaming through this is my prayer for you:
to know such sweet devotion through each changing emotion the faithfulness of love revealed from God above when day-by-day is done when there's no more the sun when different seasons call and mighty nations fall when towns and cities flee and crumble to the sea when terrorists arise and darken sunny skies when men fail left and right when day turns into night this still will be my prayer may God's love find you there: in love beyond all reason in love in every season sweet love from God above
And love that gives you squeezin!
