2004-12-05 - think for yourself

we sensed it in the air
and felt it in our souls
we didn't have a care
compared to current roles
which foisted hard upon us
and made us drink their dregs
defensiveness, the onus
like shackles on our legs
bolstering our stances
regimenting strife
unifying dances
celebrating life
reminiscent liberties
causes to compel us
we tasted loss and miseries
but hatred couldn't fell us

the smell of smoke and terror
the call to arms rang clear
but now we look for error
once far removed from fear
and turn to second guessing
and turn up every stone
and drone on with confessing

"why did we act alone?"

"did we act too rashly?"

"sought we oil for blood?"

how quick we turn and trash the
dam which holds the flood
of threats to fellow citizens
by evil, wicked moms
who'd just as soon blow up their skins
with suicidal bombs
and send their sons and daughters
to walk into some mall
and pull the cord to slaughter
their victims, one and all...

what kind of insane madness
would bite against the hand
and think our leaders bad as
they seek to save our land?
what bleeding hearted cacaphony
blubbers on with lies
and makes the ones attacking only
seem like normal guys
what blind and idiotic fools
could possibly not see
that only when such ignorance rules
will terrorists run free?
beware of eminems,
of howard sterns,
mike moores,
and all the useful idiots who sell themselves like whores
out to subversive politics
and propaganda hype
pathetic, as they get their fix
and hide behind their pipe
if it was left to them, you'd best believe it's true
there'd be much more than just the pain of loss that we've gone through
if they sang songs, made movies, and radio hosted there
the governing authorities would string them up, I swear!
they'd miss all of our freedoms of speech, movies, and rap
so think about it every time you listen to their crap!
