Lately there's this quandry
I hate to get into it
I'd rather do my laundry
and not be the conduit

for fights, debates and tears
but I know how it used to be
and what it costs in years
and so I take exception
to all of your mistakes
point out your imperfections
your fronts, your lies, your fakes,
don't try to trick the master
of secret alter-natives
even if your mind works faster
you haven't got the ratings
you haven't been around the block
