were fledging insecurities...
they fled from homeland tyrannies
and firmed a form dissolved...
that's formed with firm resolve

well anyway they tried to make it clear
that governmental tyranny is here
and absolute control at the apex of the system
will corrupt most any soul if elected or enlisted
so the popular consensus was the method of defenses
from an ancient world elitist point of view
where the filthy rich play chess with me and you
little pawns who snap and crackle in the pop of current trends
on the lawns of aristocracy (which always welcomes friends)
lords who charge you so hospitably
for things you must afford
get in line, be the epitome of those who kneel before
upper hands, fetted luxuries and threats of legal swords
join the march, be a clone, be our hero, be our whore
God bless the constitution and the hands who dipped the ink
God bless the cause of freedom and the right for us to think
that there can be "by the people, for the people, of..."
the people who are taught how to clutch then shift and shove
just recall the popular vote crucified the son of love
and there's always someone bigger in the heavens up above
than the selfish plans, the upperhands, the war demands of men
as creator he'll return and make it beautiful again
there's a higher call to leave it all and visit as a king
for the meek (and that means teachable) inherit everything.
